Christmas Cookies

Ingredients

  • 75g Benna Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
  • 230g plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 80g maple syrup
  • 60g light brown sugar
  • Icing sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl mix together the sugar, maple syrup, butter , egg and vanilla extract.
  2. Add the flour, baking powder and spices. Mix until everything is well combined and you have a smooth dough.
  3. Transfer the dough on a parchment paper add one more on top. Roll out the dough until itโ€™s flat.
  4. Cut the cookies with a Christmas cookie cutter and place them on a parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate for 30 minutes then bake for 12 to 15 minutes on 200C.
  6. Mix icing sugar and a bit of water until it turns into a paste and decorate.
